Skeptical Cats is one of the longest running and most established bands in the Midwest. In over 20 years of performances, the band has played hundreds of shows ranging from pubs and bars throughout the Midwest to larger venues like Fraze Pavilion, Bogart's, Gilly's, etc.  Skeptical Cats, and singer/guitarist Nick Mitchell's solo act, are among the most actively booked acts in the region, playing 270+ dates per year. Staff and patrons alike enjoy the diverse range of material the band incorporates into each show!

A Skeptical Cats concert or Nick Mitchell solo show mixes Skeptical Cats' Progressive Pop original music with Classic Rock and Pop, with a strong emphasis on English Rock--The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, The Faces, Joe Cocker, Jethro Tull, Traffic, Elton John, The Moody Blues, and many others. The band also covers other classic artists like Sly & the Family Stone, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, Little Feat, Johnny Cash, Warren Zevon, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bill Withers, Tom Petty, Todd Rundgren, The Monkees, Billy Joel, Elvis Costello, U2, classic Jazz, Blues and Country standards...and well, you probably get the point!  Skeptical Cats blend eclectic, "underexposed" classic material from the '50s-'90s with it's own mind-tickling original songs to deliver a truly unique live concert experience.
